We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may ask to access or correct your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by contacting our privacy officer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).
Our Site and apps are offered to people in Canada and the United States.
Personal Information We Collect
Website visitors
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider collect, using cookies and similar technology:
- your approximate location (country or city), worked out from your IP address;
- device and browser details;
- the pages you view and the links you click; and
- an online identifier stored in a cookie, which lets visitor statistics count return visits.

Enquiries and booked calls
When you email us or book a call, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include (for example, your phone number, company or the reason for the call).
Clients and suppliers
When you or your organization does business with us, we collect business contact details, contracts, invoices, payment records and correspondence.
Our apps
Our apps collect no personal information, unless an app is listed with the information it collects in Our Apps below.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information only to:
- produce visitor statistics so we can improve the Site;
- keep the Site working, including keeping each visitor on one version of the Site while it is updated;
- respond to enquiries and schedule and hold booked calls;
- provide our services, invoice, and keep business and tax records; and
- send you news about our services by email, only if you have agreed to receive it. Every such email will let you unsubscribe.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, with your consent or as the law allows. When you email us, book a call or do business with us, you consent to our use of your information for that purpose. We rely on your implied consent for visitor statistics, which you can withdraw at any time as described in the Cookie Policy. We ask for your express consent before sending you marketing email.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by emailing our privacy officer, blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, or clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email. If you withdraw consent, we may be unable to provide some services.
Who We Share Personal Information With
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Google (Google Workspace email and calendar for enquiries and bookings, and Google Analytics 4 for visitor statistics);
- Amazon Web Services (Site hosting);
- our accountant and professional advisers, for our business and tax records; and
- subcontractors who help us deliver services, under written confidentiality obligations.
We require our service providers to protect personal information and to use it only to provide their services to us.
We will also disclose personal information if the law requires it, if it is needed for a legal proceeding or to protect our legal rights, or to a buyer or potential buyer of our business, under confidentiality terms, if we seek to sell it.
If you follow a link from our Site to another site, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Information We Handle for Our Clients
When we process personal information on behalf of a client (for example, a client's customer, member or donor records), we act as that client's service provider under a written agreement with them. The client's privacy policy governs that information. We pass any request about it to the client.
Where We Store Personal Information
We and our service providers store and process personal information in Canada and the United States. Information processed outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities.
How Long We Keep Personal Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for. Enquiries and booking details are kept while we are in contact with you and then deleted. Business and tax records, such as invoices and contracts, are kept for six years from the end of the tax year they relate to, as Canadian tax law requires. Visitor statistics are kept by Google Analytics for 2 months.
How We Protect Personal Information
Personal information is protected with access controls, multi-factor authentication, encryption and secure cloud services, and is accessible only to Bilal Shirazi Holdings Inc. and to subcontractors bound by confidentiality obligations. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Your Rights
You may ask us:
- whether we hold personal information about you, what it is, how we have used it, and to whom we have disclosed it;
- to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; and
- to delete information we no longer need, or to stop using it where you withdraw consent.
Send your request to our privacy officer at contact@bilalshiraziholdings.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Children
Our Site and apps are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. A parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.
Do Not Track
We do not use advertising cookies or track visitors across other websites. Our visitor statistics cover only visits to our own Site, so we do not change our practices in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
Cookies
We use one analytics cookie set (Google Analytics 4) and one strictly necessary hosting cookie, and no advertising cookies. Our Cookie Policy at bilalshiraziholdings.com/cookies lists each cookie and explains how to opt out.
Our Apps
This Privacy Policy applies to every app published by Bilal Shirazi Holdings Inc. Our apps are designed to collect no personal information. An app that collects personal information will be listed here, with the information it collects and why, before it is released. Currently:
- Football Formation AR (iPhone and iPad) collects no personal information and makes no network requests.
- Celiac Tax Helper (Mac) collects no personal information. Its AI features run on your own Mac.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or in our practices. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell affected people directly where we can.

If you have a concern about how we handle personal information, please contact our privacy officer first so we can try to resolve it. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).
